The Woolshed has been part of Canberra's creative community for a long time. What started as one person's passion for beautiful yarn and the craft of making has grown into something quietly special - a little shop in Manuka that means a great deal to a great many people.
The Woolshed is run by a small, dedicated team of knitters and crocheters who are genuinely, enthusiastically excited about your project, whatever it is, whatever stage you're at.
We specialise in quality natural fibres from around the world, with a particular love for Australian and New Zealand wools. We're proud to stock Millpost Merino, grown locally in Bungendore just down the road, alongside hand-dyed yarns from local artisans and beloved brands from across the globe. If it's worth making with, we want to have it.
Beyond the yarn, we offer classes for all skill levels - whether you're picking up needles for the first time or tackling something new. Come in, ask questions, bring your WIP, or just browse. Our team is always happy to help you find exactly what your project needs.
